Kashmir Tourism

As the summer comes back and the capital is shifted again to Srinagar, Kashmiri People gets there hope to have better tourist season in Kashmir. After the turmoil of 2010, 2011 was an outstanding year for tourism in Kashmir and everybody is hoping that 2012 should be even better.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Tourism more than a million domestic and international tourists visited Kashmir in year 2011. The flight fares and hotels fare are gone up this year but the expected tourist should be double the number from last year. There have already been tens of thousands of tourists in Srinagar in March, not the best time in the valley, vying to visit the tulip garden. In the starting week of May rooms are not available in mosst of the hotels in Srinagar Gulmarg and Pahalgam and the flights fare are now rocket high for Srinagar despite manly flights been operated from Delhi and other cities. Indigo Airlines is operating 4 Daily Flights for Srinagar from Delhi. 

 Many new hotels are built in Kashmir is last 2 Years viewing the increase of Tourist floiw in Kashmir Valley. Taj Hotels has started Vivanta by Taj at Srinagar, the second big chain hotel after The Lalit. Travel agents all over India now selling Kashmir tourpackages as the conflicts are all time low in Srinagar and they can now assure the tourist to have a safe and amazing journey to the beautiful himalayan state. 

We trust that Kashmir will have a great tourist season ahead and tourist will enjoy the untouched beauty of this amazing land.
